What should I wear?
– Comfortable clothes (be prepared to get dirty and possibly wet)
– Closed-toe shoes (sandals and flip flops are NOT recommended)
What should I bring?
– Extra clothes
– Water bottle
– Camera (water-resistant is recommended)
– Sunscreen
– Bug spray
– Driver’s license (if you’ll be driving the vehicle)
– A positive attitude and a desire to explore 🙂
Is the price the same for locals and foreigners?
Yes, it is the same price for locals and foreigners.
Do you have parking?
Yes, you can park your vehicle in our parking lot during the tour. The lot is secure and is monitored by our security cameras.
Is there a place to store items?
Yes, we have lockers where you can safely store your things.
How many people fit on an ATV?
Each ATV fits a maximum of 2 people.
Is there a weight restriction for the ATVs and UTVs?
The maximum weight per vehicle is 600 lbs.
Can I ride if I’m pregnant?
No, unfortunately we do not recommend our activities if you are pregnant.
Do I need a driver’s license?
If you’ll be driving the vehicle, then yes you need to have a valid driver’s license. A license issued to drive a car or motorcycle in the US, UK, EU, or Canada is sufficient.
Is there a minimum age?
Drivers must be at least 16-years-old with a valid driver’s license. Passengers must be over 10-years-old.
My child is under 16-years-old but has ATV/off-road experience. Do they still need to ride as a passenger?
Yes, ATV drivers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license. Unlicensed participants and children under 16 must ride as passengers.
Am I experienced enough to do an ATV tour in Costa Rica?
While you don’t need ATV experience to do one of our tours, your guide still needs to decide what type of tour to offer you based on your skill and comfort levels. Before embarking on your tour, please inform your guide whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider so they can assess your skill level and determine the appropriate terrain for your tour.
Does your ATV tours operate in bad weather?
Our tours operate rain or shine. We change our routes depending on weather conditions, always ensuring safety and the best possible experience. What you think might be bad weather might just be the best conditions for an epic ATV adventure!
What are Costa Rica’s laws regarding drinking and driving?
Costa Rica’s laws are every bit as strict as American laws. Don’t drink and drive/ride, as alcohol impairs your judgment and ability to react quickly.
